Our Custom Gallery Wrap Work
We love what we do. Everytime we build a custom piece of artwork there is a moment of awe where we all stop what we are doing and break away to view the piece. Our abilities to produce such a piece all begin with a space. Traditionally, a designer finds a piece or two, buys them for a certain spot in an office or home, hangs them and that's it. We have the capability to do much more. Our method of printing to perfection doesn't even require us visiting the location. Here's how we do it.
First you need two people, a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and a digital camera. The first person should hold the camera facing the wall and be far enough back to see the furniture, wall edges or anything else that demostrates relativity. This person takes the first photograph and remains standing in that same exact location. Next, the second person goes to the center of the wall (or area where the image will go) and holds a sheet paper against the wall and the the first person takes the second photo. So now we have to two different photos taken from the same spot, one with just area that image will reside and the other, has person holding a sheet of paper against the wall.
Lastly, email us both of the images. After we find out what image you want printed (whether ours or one supplied*) we will mock up the correct size in photoshop then send it to be approved by email with an estimated size and a quote.
How small of an image do we do? Our custom built work has miminal $150 order requirement. We love bulk work.
Supplied* - if the work is not in
public domain, purchased right, release or permission is required.
All of our photos come standard printed giclee style on canvas. These images are printed with the Epson Ultrachrome K3 utilizing a unique three level black ink technology, the ink system significantly improves overall gray balance while enhancing midtone and highlight detail yielding a smoother tonal range. Our ink has improved print permanence characteristics that provide lightfastness ratings of over 200 years for black and white under rigorous industry accepted display conditions.
Our standard method of delivery is gallery wrapped. We do not paper the backs of our images. The allows us to place the wire inside the internal frame and forces the image to hang flush to the wall
The prints on this site are printed by us, in Augusta, Georgia. Our quality is not duplicated from another print. All of our photos are scanned and printed from the original 4x3 negatives, which we own. Our frames are hand assembled and the canvases are hand stretched. We also hand coat every image with an industrial UV protector to add even more protection.
